I am a recovery Door mat, thanks to Dani.....I am now a window payne I have a wonderful Son and Mother. I have three horses, three sheep, one goat, nine chickens, five dogs and * cats, no, there is not a partridge in a pair tree. I have been around horses since I was 13, but have loved them since I knew what they were. I really didn't have much choice in the matter. My Grandmother passed the "curse" down to my Mother, then to me. I only call it a curse, because I can't seem to live without my horses. I see what so many evil people do to horses. I also see people at their wits end, emotionally and financially. I have been down the tuff times, emotionally and financially and some days I am still there, but not ONCE did my animals go w/o the basic necessities, food, water, shelter, FARRIER work and vet if needed. If you are willing to buy a horse, you have to be willing to sacrifice. When money got really tight, I would buy the cheapest (still good) feed and would work off my other expenses. It's hard, but if you really love horses, you will do the right thing. I really admire what the rescue has/is doing for horses.
