Horses Wanted
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
WANTED, Broke, BROKE, older, quiet horse-- preferably 14.2 - 16 H. Gaited any breed ( Paso, SSH, KMH, TWH, etc. ) is a must because my other horses are gaited. My TWH horse is not hot or silly. They prefer to dog walk and will gait when you want. This horse will be for my 5 yr. old daughter. She is getting too big for her pony and wants a larger smooth gaited horse to ride with us when we go. She will be on a line of course unless we are in an enclosed area. A free lease at my place, free or new home with a contract is what I am looking for, I have a vet reference of 17 yrs. (I am a highly experienced horse person of 25 years.) You can look at my place, my other animals and talk to my friends if needed. If you have a good gaited, calm horse that you would like to free lease please let me know. I would sign a contract if needed. Pretty is not important safety first. You can contact me.I live in Eustis, FL

Horses Needing Homes

Tennessee, Very nice 9 yr registered Quarter Horse mare. This is a very well bred mare. I believe this mare would make someone a really nice roping horse or even a barrel horse. She is bred to be a working horse. I really like this mare and if I didn’t have my hands full would consider her for myself. She hasn’t been rode into the ground as a baby and just needs some hours in the saddle.
Here are her bloodlines: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/jets+san+belle
She is asking $1000 for this mare but her biggest concern is A GOOD HOME where this mare will get the riding and time she needs. She is located in Tennessee.
Here is the write up on her from the owner:
She stands about 15.1 and was also foaled in 2000. STOUT made girl with a really pretty head and neck. Smart mare, very people oriented, and gets along great with other horses. BEAUTIFUL MOVER. I really think she could be any discipline you asked her to be. Has been ridden but sells as green due to never having had time to finish her. I have also never bred her but think she'd make beautiful foals. I bought her as a two year old no one had ever touched. Spent a lot of time with her on up to getting her broke just after she turned four (waited a little longer as she spent her first two years doing nothing at all). She was doing great, no buck no rear, but I had to put her on the back burner when I started working crazy night time hours as a 911 dispatcher. She has always acted sane under saddle and has absolutely wonderful ground manners, I would let anyone handle her on the ground for any reason i.e. grooming, farrier visits, bathing, lunging, trailering, veterinary care, etc.... She has a small scar on her back right pastern that has been there since I bought her but has never given her any problems, vet looked at it when I purchased her and said she is fine so she is sound. Scar is likely result of a cut that was never doctored, but not one deep enough to cause any issues.
She was originally sold on a lease to purchase agreement but was repossessed due to lack of payment as well as poor care of the horse. When we picked her up she was very underweight, covered in cuts (all have healed now and left no scars), and was also missing chunks of mane and tail (which are growing back nicely). The person who was keeping her had her for 6 or 7 months and ,after only having her back for almost two months, she is back at her normal weight and looking great as you can see from her pictures which were taken a week ago. I do not know if the person who had leased her rode her while they had her (their intent was to use her to sort cows with) but she has been ridden only once since I got her back. Did very well until the gentleman riding her let her get nose to nose with another mare over a fence line and she did rear but I cannot entirely blame that incident on Jet. We also didn't lunge her or do any kind of groundwork with her we quite literally just brushed her off and saddled her up in the pasture to see what she would do. She crossed water for the first time that I know of that day and didn't balk at all and did well until the fence line issue. We continued riding her after the fact and she acted as though nothing happened, no further incidents. I've run through her groundwork a few times since getting her back and she doesn't seem to have forgotten a thing. Everything I did with her on the ground was meant to emulate things that would be asked of her under saddle so she shouldn't really be much trouble to finish, just needs the miles. I've never pushed her for much she's really only been at a walk trot.
Someone with the time to put into her could have a really great horse, but you can see why selling her has been a challenge as she is 9 and I can only call her green. She has been restarted nearly annually but I've just never been able to consistently ride her enough to finish her and can no longer afford her. My other horse is already broke to death so that makes Jet the first logical horse to be sold and I've wasted enough of her time. I'd like to see someone buy her who can utilize her potential. I've had teenagers make offers on her that were just not experienced enough riders for her so I couldn't in good conscience sell her to them for fear they'd get hurt and maybe even take it out on the horse by off loading her any old place to be rid of her, there's been a few more backyard type breeders that just didn't sit well with me as good homes for her, and then there has been all the tire kickers so I appreciate you sitting through my lengthy reply and spreading the word about her. I have attached three photos of her. If you would like others or have any other questions about her just let me know.

This is my brother’s horse and is at my property.
6 yr old grey TB filly. Here are her bloodlines: http://www.pedigreequery.com/explosive+silver2
She is approx. 14.3 and has never been raced. She is 100% sound and vet checks are welcome. This mare is really pretty and a very nice mover. She was to small to race so she has just been hanging out eating. My brother is not going to race her so we want to find her a good home. She is broke to ride but is green. My brother did not put a whole lot of time into her because he was working on the horses going to the track. She has been trail ridden some and did okay. SHE IS NOT for a beginner as she does have some spunk to her. She loads, ties, bathes, stands for farrier etc…. SHE IS NOT A RESCUE. She has been cared for since he bought her as a 3 yr old. She is current on everything and just needs a job. I will get some current pictures soon. He is asking $500 for her. We will request the phone number of your vet to do a reference check. I am sorry but we will not just sell her to the 1st person with the money. We want her to have a good home. We would also like to
receive updates on her. This is not an adoption, you will get a bill of sale on her and she
will be your horse but we just want to make sure she is taking care of.
