Blue was surrendered to us by a lady (or the lack of) stating she didnt want anything more to do with him and would not provide us any information on him. We feel that she was hiding him for someone. Blue is a blind 20 something yr old horse and was kept in a small pasture surrounded by barbed wire. He seems to be at a healthy weight, but gets very dependant on the other horses at the barn for guidance.

We love Mr. Blue dearly and he has captured our hearts. He is the most well mannered, behaved horse in the barn. He is completely safe to handle and is really good at teaching our volunteers how to groom. He just loves his grooming sessions.

How can you not love this face?

 Eyore is a 25-28 yr old cracker pony. He was given to a family sight unseen and they were not prepared for what they got. They did not know how to care for a neglected horse so they surrendered Eyore to HER. He is a very sweet guy and the volunteers just LOVE him. He is so easy to work with.

While Eyore was recovering from neglect he suffered a case of moonblindness. Due to the fact he will eventually go blind and because of his age, he will live out the rest of his days here.

When he arrived we were not sure if he was going to make it.......

Then we clipped him and found this................

He had numerous untreated wounds under all that hair. They were rotten and very infected.

He started to look a little better after removing all that hair.

Now he just thinks he is king of the barn and he even has his own special fly mask.
